Pipkin, Knott, Clark & Berger, L.L.P. is a results-oriented trial practice established in 1985. The firm concentrates its practice on serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, primarily in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing and rest home liability, tractor trailer crashes and products liability. Some of the firm's more significant recent medical malpractice cases have included injuries or death arising from various types of orthopaedic and other surgical negligence, obstetrics, gynecology, radiology, emergency medicine, ophthalmology and oncology, failure to diagnose cancer and errors in administering drugs and nursing negligence. Recent products liability matters have involved a defective exercise machine and a defective door at a regional shopping center. The firm represents clients in the North Carolina trial courts and Industrial Commission (state tort claims), the United States District Court and in the North Carolina and federal appellate courts.
